Current Graduate Student Advisees

Joseph Maiorano is a Ph.D. candidate.  He teaches with Ohio State Extension.  He is completing his doctoral dissertation research having interviewed young offenders in an Ohio penitentiary.  He is interested in discovering the inmates’ views of their schooling and in particular how culturally relevant their experiences were. The title of his dissertation is: Insiders: Black American Male Inmates’ Narratives on the Cultural Relevance of Their Schooling

Youmna Rieder is a Ph.D. student. She completed her Masters of Arts degree in Summer 2013 with a specialization in dramatic inquiry.

Emily Foster is a Master of Arts student.  She teaches at Dominion MS in Columbus City Schools where she is head of drama.  She is one of the alumni teacher-leaders in the OSU/RSC PD program having been a member of the 2011-12 cohort.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Megan Ballinger is a Master of Arts student.  She taught English at Linden-McKinley High School in Columbus City Schools and is now a literacy specialist at Hilltonia Middle School.  She is one of the alumni teacher-leaders in the OSU/RSC PD program having been in the program since of the 2009. cohort.
