As an Education-Intern with the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I)my primary responsibilities included creating training programs, implementing the 2011 webinar series time line and conference programming.
During my Spring/Summer 2011 internship I helped to develop online webinars, which are given via Microsoft Live. The different types of webinars I worked on prior to delivering the training are on “Transfer Students”, and “Designer and other Legal Drugs”. I continued to work on several other webinars during November and December of 2011.
Other things I worked on during my internship include making projections and creating time lines for online webinars. My experience at this internship has been wonderful and I learned a great deal of things in a very fast paced environment. Learning how to conduct training programs online will help the technical side of my career.
This will benefit me in the near future because organizations are increasingly using online-based training programs. Learning how to create and host online training programs will help me become a better programmer. This internship is the start of my career and as I gain more experience in the field of Corporate Training and Development the better I will become at designing and facilitating trainings.
